I've been saving these darlings for those of you who are fans of kitsch. If you've ever been to my house you know that as much as we love haute design, my husband and I also love anything campy. Even scurrying through my day, my eyes are always peeled for visual treats. Each brief encounter with a delightfully made object leaves me feeling happy & content. Luckily for me, somewhere along my life's trajectory, I merged my graphic design career with my love for handmade objects and penchant for retail. In 2004, I founded beehive co-op (www.beehiveco-op.com), a boutique and online store dedicated to emerging independent designers which gives me a delicious, direct line to handmade goodies.
One day, after hearing' "oh my god, that's so cute! Where did you get it" for the umpteenth time, I thought, "why not start a little blog chronicling my favorite finds and compile a delightful list of treats. It could be both inspiring and useful (a place to search for just the right gift for your bff).
